The Penn Jackson Young Dentist Recruitment Fund Application Form

Goal: Reduce a barrier for promising young dentists to attend the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry Annual meeting.

The goal of this fund is to provide a meeting tuition resource during those developmental years in practice to cover the cost of admission to the meeting. The subsidized guests would be responsible for all other costs associated with attendance.

Age – Dentists are eligible for funds during the first 8 years out of dental school, not residency.

Residency – Dental residents pay a significantly reduced fee and are many times sponsored by their program. They are not eligible for the fund.

Number of eligible meetings – Four meetings are required to become a member. The fund may pay for those four meetings if they remain eligible (i.e. first 8 years out of dental school).

Funds are transferred to AARD and not to the Guest. When the AARD member sends guest information to the Academy, they will be asked if their guest qualifies for the funds. If so, the guest will be sent details on the fund. They must apply and be accepted before accepting an invitation for the meeting. When they go to pay for the meeting, they insert a code to trigger the fund to pay.
